SpongeBob SquarePants
Mr. Krabs wants to save five cents, so he has SpongeBob fired from his job. SpongeBob falls into a depression, and despite encouragement from Patrick, finds that he does not enjoy being unemployed. He takes his talents to multiple other restaurants, making Krabby Patty-style food that turns out to be delicious.
SpongeBob tries to stop his nail-biting habit, with help from Patrick and Sandy.
SpongeBob and Patrick take a tour of the surface to celebrate the former’s birthday. Meanwhile, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, Plankton, and the rest of Bikini Bottom help set up a surprise party for SpongeBob, and Patchy tries to find SpongeBob to give him a present.
SpongeBob and Patrick protest the construction of a highway that would destroy Jellyfish Fields.
Squidward insists that SpongeBob is the only reason why the Krusty Krab is popular. Out of jealousy, Mr. Krabs kicks SpongeBob out of the restaurant, where he starts his own restaurant at home. The Krusty Krab fails as Mr. Krabs tries to re-attract customers, while SpongeBob’s restaurant becomes a success.

SpongeBob and Patrick find Sandy’s box of sports equipment, but do not know how to play the sports. As revenge, Squidward teaches them incorrect and painful ways to play. Sandy eventually finds out, and beats Squidward at his own game.
Plankton’s pet amoeba Spot has puppies, and Plankton gets them adopted with SpongeBob’s help. When the amoeba puppies return to Plankton with their owners’ items, he trains the puppies to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula. Squidward gets into a severe accident that causes his brain to swell up and he physically and mentally regresses to the state of a baby. SpongeBob and Patrick take care of him until he recovers.
Squidward is attacked in a dark alley and has his groceries stolen. He takes up karate training for self-defense with SpongeBob and Sandy.
Squidward’s clarinet disappears, so he, SpongeBob, and Patrick investigate suspects. The clarinet is revealed to have been stolen by jellyfish, who enjoy Squidward’s music and let him play in their club.
